Okay, let’s dive into what I’ve been loving so far this year—Genuine loves & authentic purchases. Last year, I was featured in an article series called Receipts, which highlighted what I actually spent my own money on. I loved the concept—especially in a world oversaturated with PR gifting and overconsumption—so I decided to create my own monthly version. After more than a decade in this space, I’ve been gifted just about everything, but I’m here to share my honest thoughts on what’s truly worth your hard-earned money.
I think most of these are going to be in the health and wellness category this month as let’s be real fashion-wise, I have been rotating between a few different cozy outfits considering I was evacuated from my home most of January and that’s all I grabbed when I ran out the door.
I posted a Q&A box on my Instagram stories, and I decided to turn your most-asked product questions into answers below as well. So let’s get into it, some new major loves and some forever tried-and-true favorites that were top of mind, below, in no particular order.
RELAX
1. The Valley Salt Cave – When I got back to LA, I escaped to a salt cave for the first time, and wow—I loved it so much. Now, I’m going weekly. The Himalayan Mountains are one of the purest and most complete mineral salt sources on Earth. Himalayan salt contains up to 84 naturally occurring minerals and elements that are essential for overall well-being. Every mineral in our body plays an important role, and this combination helps create a solid foundation for true health.
2. Two Bunch Palms – Carter and I took a trip to Two Bunch Palms for a New Year’s reset. It was my second time, his first, and honestly, it was even better than I remembered. The waters are over 100 degrees, insanely healing, and packed with minerals that help ease muscle tension, improve circulation, and leave your skin feeling crazy soft. The spa services? Unreal. Both times I went, I got the Balancing Massage, and it was absolute heaven.
BATH/ BEAUTY
1. Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil Toothpaste – I don’t know if you’ve jumped on the Yuka app yet, but my little sister recently introduced me, and now I check all my products on it. This toothpaste scores a 100/100 on the app—which is pretty rare—and I love how fresh and clean it makes my mouth feel. It’s fluoride-free, with minimal ingredients, of course.
2. Agent Nateur Holi (Pearly) Whites Probiotic Whitening Toothpaste – Speaking of toothpaste, this is the gold standard. I was so excited when it launched—I may have been one of the first to order it. Leaving this here for whenever it’s restocked because I know it sells out fast. Toothpaste made with pearl powder and Mānuka Honey? Count me in. For now, the hand-crafted Italian toothbrushes are still in stock.
3. Agent Nateur Lash & Brow Serum - I was driving yesterday and looked in the mirror and was like woooooah my brows have so many new hairs!? I’ve used this brow serum daily since the beginning of the year (so just over a month) and it genuinely works. I wasn’t expecting to see that much growth so quickly, I’m a huge fan.
4. Agent Nateur x Shiva Rose Aluminum-Free Deodorant – Okay, I’ll be honest—I did the whole deodorant detox about five years ago. But then Agent Nateur sent me this one in the mail, and now I’ve reordered it several times. I’m hooked on the scent—it’s so gentle, and I love anything rose-scented.
5. Surya Spa Rose Body Oil – Speaking of rose, this body oil might just take the cake for the best rose scented anything that I’ve ever tried. It’s become a nightly post-shower ritual. Plus, I’ll use anything from Surya—Martha’s products speak for themselves. Tip from Martha herself: Always massage from the limbs and feet toward the heart to help flush lymph and toxins into the lymph nodes at the pelvis and armpits.
6. Copper Tongue Scraper – I’ve been scraping my tongue every morning for as long as I can remember. I do it right when I wake up, followed by warm lemon water to flush my system after a night’s sleep. Copper has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that support oral health, so it’s a staple in my routine.
7. Undaria Algae Body Wash – I don’t even know if I can put into words how much I love this body wash. I’ve gone through multiple bottles, and the citrusy seaweed scent makes me smile every time I shower. Use code COLOURSLIVING10 for a discount.
8. Najeau Shampoo + Conditioner – Haircare was easily my most-asked question in the Q&A. My dear hair colorist of over ten years, Nina Kairouz, formulated this shampoo and conditioner with so much experience and love. I honestly don’t use much else on my hair. I love how clean it feels after a wash—so much so that if I run out and forget to reorder in time, I’ll literally drive over to her house to pick some up. Use code EMILYROSE15 for a discount.
9. The Jolie Shower Filter – Speaking of hair, that brings me to the shower filter. Whenever I move, one of the first things I do is install a new one. No matter where you live, tap water has so many contaminants that aren’t easy on your skin or hair. Not going to lie—I love this filter so much that my mom ordered one for herself, and when I was staying at her place during the evacuation, I only showered in her bathroom because of it. You can feel the difference.
10. ClearStem Skincare – And speaking of skin, the ClearStem hype is real. I’ve been using all their products for a little over two years, and I’m hooked. I love that I can trust anything they make since there are no pore-clogging ingredients.
My Routine: The Gentle Cleanser with cold water (morning and night), Hydraglow (smells like yummy blueberries + packed with stem cells), and I rotate between the BounceBack + Clearity Serum. Use code EMILYROSEKLEIN for a discount.
11. Goop Summertone Bronzing Gel — Not a self tanner, no DHA, no smell, no streaks. This product is sunshine in a bottle, especially during these winter months. I’ve never been one to use self-tanning products and this is not that but it gives you more of a sun-kissed glow than your average bronzer. I’ve never used gel bronzer before but I’m really digging it. I like to apply it as I would a face moisturizer before makeup, after skincare.
12. Magnesium Bath Flakes – One thing about me? I love a good bath. Our current house doesn’t have one, and honestly, that’s the biggest downside. Wherever we live next, it’s a must. While evacuated, we went on little road trips and stayed at hotels with beautiful outdoor baths, and I found a bag of these flakes at a local health food store in Palm Springs. They made Epsom salt look bad.
WELL-BEING
1. Reflexology Foot Board – Every time I post this board on my Instagram stories without a link, I get so many questions. My trusted massage therapist recommended it to me, and I’ve used it daily ever since—same with anyone who comes over. Heads up, it’s painful, but that just means your body could use it.
2. HigherDose Infrared PEMF Mat – If you randomly walked into my house, odds are you’d find me lying on this mat. It’s the ultimate feel-good mat and truly lets the whole body rest. The Pro Mat combines two of the most powerful recovery technologies—Infrared Therapy and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF)—to create the ultimate at-home tool for recovery, natural energy, and deep relaxation.
3. Living Libations Sacred Cinnamon Incense – If there’s one thing I want burning in my house, it’s these. I love cinnamon, and these incense sticks are the cherry on top of a cozy morning at home. They’re made with all-natural coconut shell and bamboo sticks, infusing the air with the purest essence of cinnamon.
4. Bon Charge Mini Red Light Therapy Device – This mini red light device comes everywhere with me when I travel and is a key part of my nightly routine. I love turning it on in our bedroom as I wind down or using it in the bathroom during a warm shower on a winter evening. It instantly soothes me. I also love it for winter mornings when the sun isn’t shining. Use code EMILYROSEKLEIN for a discount.
5. Bon Charge Red Light Glasses – I do my best to wear these whenever I’m looking at screens before bed, and they really make a difference. I also bring them on long flights because, let’s be real, those TV screens on planes are so bright and completely disrupt our natural sleep cycle. Use code EMILYROSEKLEIN for a discount.
6. Molekule Pro + Molekule Mini – I was so grateful to already have these two purifiers running in our house when the fires started last month. I originally bought a Molekule Mini after experiencing our first fire in Topanga in 2021 and have loved these purifiers ever since. Plus, they actually look good in any space. Use code EMILYROSE15 for a discount.
7. AirDoctor Pro – Which brings me to another air purifier I ordered when the fires were at their worst, and everyone was panicking. I’ve seen AirDoctor purifiers in doctor’s offices for years, and while they work so well, they’re not exactly the prettiest addition to a room. But in terms of power and clean air? Worth it.
8. Windmill Air Purifier – The last of the three air purifiers we have is the Windmill. I keep this one in my office space—the bamboo style looks great, and it definitely gets the job done. If you don’t want to splurge on a purifier but still want something effective and sustainable, this is the one. Use code EMILY30 for $30 off.
9. The Original Natural Non-Slip Cork Yoga Mat – I’m a big hot yoga lover, so a mat that actually soaks up my sweat (even with a towel) is key. This one keeps me feeling grounded and supported, and I love that I don’t have to wipe it down constantly. I’ve had mine for years—it wears well over time and has a naturally grippy texture. Cork is lightweight yet durable, easy to clean, and naturally antimicrobial, meaning it resists germs and odors. It also doesn’t absorb dust, which makes it a great option for anyone with allergies or skin sensitivities.
MIND
1. Flamingo Estate – The Guide to Becoming Alive – The book of the year—or actually, the century. Richard is a true inspiration, and I’ve loved watching Flamingo Estate blossom into what it is today. I remember in 2020, during COVID, ordering one of his farm boxes through Instagram, and now he’s built a thriving business with products that nourish so many people around the world. His book is filled with wisdom about his journey and the people who’ve inspired him along the way.
2. The Artist’s Way – You hear it over and over about this book, but I’ll say it myself: it changed my life. Whether you consider yourself a creative person or not (spoiler: we all are in some capacity), this book unlocks parts of you that you didn’t even know existed. So many lightbulb moments. So many dots connecting.
3. OPEN – Meditation + Breathwork – I use this app daily—sometimes twice, sometimes three times a day. When I posted my one-month free link the other week, it got the most sign-ups it’s ever gotten since I started sharing it monthly over a year ago. Woah. It really showed how much we all need nervous system regulation, especially after such a rocky start to the year. Use COLOURSLIVINGOPEN30 (or click here) for 30 days free.
WEAR
1. Mr. Leight Dean C Eyeglasses – Garrett Leight prescription glasses are the gold standard. I got the Honey Tortoise color and had the lenses tinted to match. I’m all for a monochromatic look, with anything, honestly.
2. Labyrinth Earrings – Our COLOURS by Emily Rose collaboration earrings are a true staple in my everyday life. These 14k gold sun spiral earrings are handmade to order, and just a heads-up, it takes Rosalie 4–6 weeks to create them.
SUPPLEMENTS
1. Agent Nateur Holi (Mane) Collagen - Odds are if you have heard of Agent Nateur it’s likely been about their beloved holi (mane) collagen. I am on my third bag and it’s incredible for skin and bone health. I have scoliosis which can cause occasional back discomfort and I’m thankful to say I’ve had zero pain since drinking this daily. Can you tell I love Agent Nateur? Ha, I need to get you, and me, a code.
2. Redmond Salt – Salt, salt, salt. This stuff is the real deal—ancient salt the way nature made it. Our bodies require a sufficient amount of electrolytes to function properly, so I sprinkle a dash in my water every morning.
3. Moon Juice Mini Dew – Not into a salty taste but still want a clean electrolyte option? Mini Dew has been my go-to for years. I prefer the watermelon flavor, and you can use code EMILYROSEKLEIN for a discount. The packets are perfect for travel, too.
4. Moon Juice Magnesi-Om – I can’t mention Mini Dew without also mentioning Moon Juice’s Magnesi-Om powder. It’s meditation you can sip. Carter and I drink a cup every night before bed for a deep, restful sleep. It takes your typical magnesium to the next level with added L-Theanine. Use code EMILYROSEKLEIN for a discount.
5. Pure Encapsulations Magnesium (Citrate) – When I’m on the go and want to take magnesium in capsule form, this is my trusted source. My naturopathic doctor always recommends it, and you really can’t go wrong with Pure Encapsulations.
6. First Light Farms Micronutrients Beef Organ Complex – If you’re deep into the wellness world, I’m sure you’ve heard of the beef organ craze. They’re a great source of vitamins A, B12, B5, Iron, Selenium, and Copper. I like these capsules because I just can’t do beef organs raw—haha. My chiropractor recommended these, and even though I eat meat, the nutrient boost is amazing for energy and keeping my body balanced.
7. Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic – This was another one of the most asked questions during my Q+A: “Do you still take Seed’s probiotic daily?” And the answer is YES. I’ve been on the Seed train for almost five years (with a few breaks, as it’s good to take a break from probiotics now and then), and it definitely lives up to the hype plus keeps my gut feeling good. Use code EMILYK25 for a discount.
8. The Fullest Saffron Latte – Saffron has been used for centuries as a medicinal therapy, and modern science now proves that saffron is just as effective as some leading pharmaceuticals. It helps calm your nerves, brighten your mood, treat PMS, optimize cognition, support your sleep cycle, reduce inflammation, and heal the gut. Next time you’re reaching for Advil, consider Kinder Thoughts instead. I call this sunshine spice the cure-all. Use code EMILYROSE for a discount.
9. Chlorella & Spirulina – I saw my chiropractor last week, and she insisted I order these 100% Spirulina and Chlorella tablets. She basically made it sound like it cures everything. Did you know Spirulina has three times more protein than steak?! I’ve always known it’s high in B12, but this is next level.
That’s it (okay that was a lot haha) for now. Since the fires, I’ve been turning inward to nourish my mind, body, and soul, and I wanted to share the tools that have been working for me.
With love,
x Emily
